By our friend's and customer's request, this year's "In Town" offering will be a celebration of and collection of "prints".  The age-old form of "'printmaking' is alive and well, in fact, enjoying a much deserved resurgence.  Prints a broad and very general term, will be well represented here in many incarnations and using many different techniques.  Anchoring the show will be the works of Orcas Island's own and much loved, Rosemary Kimball and the collage works of Christina Orchid.  Rosemary is an absolute treasure in the world of etching, printing, monotypes...... avante garde would be an understatement.

Night before last, Michael and I had dinner at the home of Bruce and Christina.  Dinner was no less than fabulous, their home.......way over the top, a lifetime of treasures and art, and among tem, Chris's collages.  Very fun!  We can hardly wait to see the whole collection!

Add to this..... Michael's collected Russian engravings, Japanese woodblocks and English etchings, and a vast and varied collection of up and coming American artists, this promises to be a show touching the interest and loves of everyone.  The show will hang much of the summer with "sold" works being promptly replaced with new temptations, repeated visits will definitely be in order!
